Roof stability of bolt supporting coal roadway is related to many factors,among which roof anchor is the main factor to determine the stability of the roof. The waveguide characteristics of nondestructive detection from coal roof can reflect the status of the anchorage quality(anchorage range ? Anchoring compactness?The effective range of the anchor bolt) and the anchorage quality determines the roof stability,so waveguide characteristics is associated with the instability mode(Very stable roof, medium stable roof, roof generally stable, unstable roof,extremely unstable roof). Different instability modes should have the characteristics of wave propagation in the corresponding.By researching the propagation of stress wave and energy distribution in bolt,this paper determined to put reflection characteristics? bolt relative anchorage length? ratio of amplitude three waveguide as three input parameters of coalroadway roof anchor stability intelligent recognition system.After studying the neuralnetwork theory and Neural Network Toolbox in matlab software,this paper build a knowledge base of bolt anchoring quality and waveguide parameters.When the neurons in hidden layer get to 4,the network can achieve good prediction effect based on repeated training on the knowledge base. In view of the Hexi mine specific geological conditions and supporting parameters, using the technology of dll dynamic link library to use Matlab and VisualBasic language to mix programming, coal roadway intelligent recognition system based on the characteristics of waveguide is developed. The system mainly includes the geological mechanical input module, single bolt anchoring quality identification module, the roof of coal drift bolt solidstability identification module and other auxiliary function module. Select three measuring points in the Hexi mine coal field, based on the three points of rock bolt nondestructive testing, and the waveguide input system to predict the three points of single bolt and roof stability. Through the anchoring force tests in the three monitoring points, the results correspond well with the system prediction and the predictive accuracy of thesystem is proved to be useful.
