| Due to the inclusion in the process of continuous casting, inclusions aggregating often appears in the nozzle. The most common problem is that large inclusion can be removed in the nozzle, but there are still some small size of the inclusions can not be completed removed, and finally left in the SEN, reducing the quality of clean steel products. Inclusions aggregating will reduce the production efficiency of the continuous casting machine, and affect the quality of casting billet at last.In the thesis, the inclusions was adsorbed by inserting a rob in the nozzle, and the numerical simulation was carried out through FLUENT. The influence on the liquid steel and inclusion was carried out mainly through the simulation study of the size and surface shade of the groove in adsorption rod, liquid steel flow velocities and the size of the inclusion.Under the control of the stopper, in the groove of the nozzle following areas, the liquid steel will produce vortex. The shape, size and number of the groove are the main factor to the liquid in nozzle. The flow field of the steel with vortex is different, so is the groove of the adsorption rod. The liquid steel will produce vortex in the groove,improving the adsorption efficiency of inclusions. Under the adsorption rod of rectangular groove of 4mm, 4mm, 10 mm, the groove produced a larger vortex flow field.In the same time, the inclusions impact and aggregation in the groove was analyzed, and the zone of it mainly happens in the upper part of the groove. Adsorption rate is the highest at this time. |
