Template Growth Of PMN-PT Textured Ceramics

Relaxation ferroelectric single crystals xPb(Mg_1/3Nb_2/3)O₃-?1-x? PbTiO₃ on?001?direction has excellent piezoelectric and dielectric properties.However,due to the ferroelectric single crystals are affected long preparation period, small size, electrical performance is unstable, uneven composition and other factors make it difficult to obtain a wide range of applications.In this paper, the growth of technology through the use of templates to tabular SrTiO₃ particles as a template, by casting process, the preparation of cold isostatic pressing, sintering and so has a good degree of orientation of the PMN-PT ceramics.In this paper, strontium carbonate?SrCO₃?, titanium dioxide?TiO₂? as raw materials,NaCl, KCl molten salt through a two-step reaction.first step:The SrCO₃, TiO₂ according to3.1:2 mixing ratio to prepare a sheet Sr₃Ti₂O₇ NaCl powder particles as the molten salt, to get the best conditions for the synthesis of flaky powder particles in NaCl under conditions of 1200 ? molten salt heat 4h, heating rate of 1 ? / min, the cooling rate of 0.5 ? / min,the resulting powder particle size between good surface plane in 40-60 um performance;Step2: Sr₃Ti₂O₇ and TiO₂ 1: 1.1 ratio of mixing with KCl molten salt flakes prepared SrTiO₃ powder. Optimal synthesis conditions were as in KCl molten salt at 1200 ? insulation 4h,heating and cooling rate of 5 ? / min finally get a good SrTiO₃ flake powder particle morphology, particle size of SrTiO₃ powder in 40 um.PMN-PT powder preparation to lead acetate, butyl titanate, magnesium oxide, niobium pentoxide as raw material, ethylene glycol as a solvent, citric acid as a chelating agent in two steps by a sol-gel method first by magnesium oxide, five niobium oxide was heated with stirring at 120 ? sol prepared 6h calcined at 1050 ? MgNb₂O₆ prepared as raw material powders, ethylene glycol as a solvent, and then to MgNb₂O₆ powder as a raw material and lead acetate, tetrabutyl titanate prepared by reacting a PMN-PT.It was pure 0.67PMN-0.33 PT powder and powder particle morphology is good, regular nanometer. By casting, sintering way to get a good degree of orientation of PMN-PT textured ceramic piezoelectric coefficient d33 is 470 PC / N.
