The coal mining machine is one of the main parts in fully-mechanized working face. One of the important factors that bring the fault of the machine is the cable shearer caused by the quality problems and over-superposition of cable. For the length of working face is 400 m and the cable has a reciprocating work situation with the coal mining machine, the cable would be broken easily. Therefore, the design of cable drag device could solve the problem of coal mining machine cable fault at a large extent.In this thesis, the design of shearer cable drag device was used for general fully-mechanized working face, installed in the cable trough of scraper conveyor, following with the movement of the coal mining machine, protecting the electric cable from any possible damages in the process of shearer to ensure the normal work of the shearer. The main work is as follows: aiming at the object, the paper compared the specific application of the cable drag device at home and abroad, analyzed the cutting-coal process of coal mining machine and determined the overall plan of cable device, confirmed the driving mode of drag system in according with the real situation of working face. According to the overall design scheme of the cable drag and drop device of the coal mining machine, the structure design of each part was modeled and assembled with Pro/E. The paper also performed the type selection design and strength check for the transmission system. According to the practical force state of chain, the paper built the analysis model, simulated the static force situation and analyzed the mechanical reliability of the chain in the process of transmission. According to the actual working condition of the transmission process, the paper simulated the kinematics analysis of the chain in the process of transmission, and analyzed the characteristics of displacement, velocity, acceleration and contact force.The results of simulation showed that the structure of the automatic drag and drop device was reasonable, and the transmission system wass safe and reliable. So, it is suitable for the use of coal mining machine in fully mechanized mining face.
