Steel industry is the pillar industry of national economy, plays a vital role in national economic development. But for the moment the steel industry problems are conspicuous. Huge over-capacity, irrational product structure, high production costs and logistics cost, these all have made our country's steel industry into a " cold winter ". Iron and steel businesses suffered heavy losses. Facing the severe form of the present stage, if iron and steel enterprises want to tide over their difficulties and reduce loss, they need to take the road of intensive development. Reducing the cost of steel production logistics and improving the efficiency of logistics operation is an important way to the development of Chinese steel enterprises.Weighing operation is one of the key link of the iron and steel production and logistics. In this paper, the plant material weighing system of iron and steel enterprise is studied, and the optimization method of weighing system is explored.First of all, combined with the characteristics of the weighing system of iron and steel enterprise production logistics, factors affecting the operation efficiency of weighing logistics network are analyzed. Equipment layout and vehicle routing are two essential aspects in logistics network, which are determined to be used for the optimization of the weighing system of iron and steel enterprises. Considering equipment layout and vehicle routing are closely linked in weighing logistics network, if the two are completely separated, resulting in the existing research cannot be better fit the actual situation, therefore, the equipment layout and routing problem is integrated into the study. Taking into account the complexity and difficulty of the study, this paper will be divided into two phases to solve this problem. In the first stage, the equipment layout is studied, and the second stage is based on the first stage.Secondly, research on optimize arrangement of weighing equipment is studied. Based on rough set theory, the rough set is combined with the Delphi method to evaluate weighing equipment layout conditions. This mainly includes building a comprehensive evaluation index system of weighing equipment layout conditions, and use rough set theory to establish decision table. After attribute reduction, the important degree of the index after reduction is calculated.And then the weight of the reduction index is obtained. By comparing the value of the equipment layout conditions, the selection of the weighing equipment layout point is determined.Third, a mixed integer programming model is established for the equipment layout and routing problem, in which the smallest plant material weighing turnover and road transport costs are the objective functions. The results of the optimal arrangement of the weighing equipment in the first phase are obtained as the parameters to the model, and the model is solved by LINGO15.0.Finally, the optimization methods and measures given in this paper are used to solve the practical problems of the weighing system in the production logistics of BG Iron and Steel Enterprise.Through the comparison of the results before and after optimization, the plant material turnover is decreased and the cost of road transport of weighing is less. At the same time, the other related costs of weighing equipment is also reduced. Therefore, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed optimization method is verified.
