The facilitated transport membrane of PVA/PAMAM/Mn+ was prepared by solution casting method in this work. Then, the membrane's adsorption and separation performance of CO2 or mixed gas were discussed in several aspects including the content of facilitated transport carriers, the kind of PAMAM,feed pressure, the kind of mixed gas and ionic valence state of the metal.?1?Using the method of divergent procedure, various generations of PAMAM were synthesized successfully by Michael Addition and alternating reaction of amide condensation with high yield.?2?The effects of content of PAMAM,generation of PAMAM,feed pressure and the kind of mixed gas on the adsorption and separation performance of PVA/PAMAM/Mn+ membranes were investigated. The introduction of PAMAM has no significant effect on the transmission coefficient of O2 and N2,but has an obvious improvement on the transmission coefficient of CO2.With the increase of the content of PAMAM,the separation factors of CO2/N2 and CO2/H2 increase as well. But the separation factor would decrease when the content is too high. The generation of PAMAM has no obvious influence on the separation factor of PVA/PAMAM/Mn+ membranes.Excess amino groups not only can't improve the separation factor, but also increase the cost of the membrane instead. With the increasing feed pressure, the separation factors of CO2/N2 and CO2/H2 increase as well. The separation factor of CO2/N2 is much higher than that of CO2/H2.?3?The effect of the ionic valence state on the performance of PVA/PAMAM/Mn+ membranes was also researched. The separation factors of CO2/N2 and CO2/H2 of PVA/PAMAM/Mn+ membranes with various ionic valence states of metal are improved with increasing content of PAMAM.But the separation factor becomes smaller when the content of PAMAM is too high. The separation factor of CO2/H2 is much smaller than the factor of CO2/N2.The separation factor of PVA/PAMAM/Ti4+ membranes is higher than that of PVA/PAMAM/Cu2+ membranes.
