The weft knitting manufacturing execution system(MES) will be developed in this paper using Internet of things. Weft knitting industry occupies the important position in the knitting industry. Because enterprise is developing rapidly, the weft knitting enterprise scale,the number of employees, orders, production is increasing, at the same time, the data information which we need is expanding. Traditional ways such as rely on artificial handwritten or card record are no longer applicable weft knitting workshop today, because they lack of high reliability and mistakes are prone to happen. And, today, enterprise management personnel can’t understand workshop production status, because the weft knitting products, process and plan change frequently. This problems lead to random variation ability is low, the solution is not timely, production capacity. To solve this problems, the enterprise must through the digital workshop, the reasonable production model to save materials, reduce cost, increase production, and make fine management.First of all, we summed up the enterprises exist the following problems after the on-the-spot investigation and the understanding of enterprise production status. The order, the machine arrangement is unreasonable; Process is various, and lack of a system arrangement; Workshop machine status can not understand in time; Production record is lagging; Corporate feedback is not promptly. to solve these difficult things, this subject suggested using B/S structure to research the weft MES system which makes friendly interface, security, scalability, stability as the principles. The system contains data collection layer, data reception and processing procedures, the Web application layer.Second, this paper introduced the development of data acquisition terminal of the weft MES system from data reception, data transmission, data memory and show. Data reception mainly uses proximity switch, temperature and humidity sensors, RFID technology to collect speed, temperature and humidity, production. Data transmission and memory mainly achieve data transmission from the terminal to industrial control and to cloud database based on ZigBee, wi-fi technology. Adopted by the data acquisition terminal development tool is based on ARM embedded operating system, including hardware layer, middle layer and the software. In the process of data transmission, a strict communication protocol will be defined between data collection terminal and data receiving and processing module to ensure the correct data transmission and parsing.Finally, we established the MES database in the cloud database,and according to the function module designed the data table. Using C# and ASP.NET to achieve the Web application layer of the system, it has many functions such as login, information management, process management, order management and so on. Enterprise management personnel can examinne the workshop production status on the web at anytime and anywhere. The management personnel can record the based information such as orders and process. The system can also be used to realize automatic production statistics.This topic uses the Internet of things technology to develop the data acquisition terminal, which can realize the acquisition of speed, temperature and humidity, production.And the data have been transmited the cloud database through wireless transmission technology in order to analysis and show in the Web application layer. The research of the system instead of manual production record statistical analysis, artificial products, and has carried on the summary of all orders, process, make enterprise management personnel to know the workshop production status, keep in an emergency, and make the enterprise to realize digital, intelligent, fine management.
