At present,the pollution problem caused by the prosperity of the industry is becoming serious.High temperature,corrosive waste water and exhaust gas need to be filtered to discharge,porous ceramics are the commonly used filter material.Porous ceramic material is the most important one,and the service life and effect are directly determined by its mechanical properties,porosity,pore size distribution and so on.In addition,reducing sintering temperature of the porous ceramics can improve the economic benefit.In this paper,the method of preparing cordierite-silicon carbide porous ceramics is the combination of solid phase sintering and liquid phase sintering.Simulating the buildup model of silicon carbide particles and the cordierite particles,make the experimental range small and accurate.Using stepwise addition of methods,making raw material more evenly mixed.The use of "carbon buried" can avoid oxidation caused by "high-temperature oxidation" generation.Systematical studied the mechanical properties,pore distribution,pore size distribution,micro morphology and composition analysis of the obtained products of the product.Successfully prepared cordierite bonded silicon carbide porous ceramic material by sintering and thermal insulation of 2h in 1400?,with silicon carbide particles and Magnesium Oxide,Alumina and Silicon Dioxide as raw materials,which the product has good alkali resistance.Changing the addition amount of the cordierite raw material,respectively the article of formulation 1,2,3,4,which open porosity are 44.87%,46.04%,46.92% and 48.14%,flexural strength are 33.62 MPa,31.34 MPa,30.15 MPa and 25.9MPa,the size distribution of pore size distribution are 2.75?m,1.65-1.72?m,1.8?m and 2.15-2.35?m,the formula 3 is determined as the optimum dosage of the formula.Respectively use a particle size of F360,F600,F800 and F1000 sintered silicon carbide as the main raw material in a fixed amount of cordierite to sintere product.In formula 5,6,7,8,the open porosity are 48.7%,48.24%,45.64% and 43.32%,flexural strength are 20.49 MPa,27.64 MPa,28.37 MPa and 32.69 MPa,the size distribution of pore size distribution are 2.4?m,1.45?m,1.2?m and 1.1?m.Open porosity and flexural properties of the article have an apparent variation with the changing of silicon carbide particle size,the pore size distribution also varies with the particle size of silicon carbide particles.
