As the increasing of demand quantity for household paper and the enhancing of desire for functionalized household paper,the high-efficiency antibacterial household paper will bring more economic and social benefits.In this paper,developing a kind of high-efficiency antibacterial household paper is the main goal.The retention rate and dispersible homogeneity of antibacterial agent are enhanced to improve the antibacterial and physical properties by optimizing the manufacturing process.Firstly,triclosan,A.SAP.propyl ester,and ε-polylysine,which are usually used in commodity frequently,are tested by some kind of antibacterial agents,which have been used in commodity frequently,are tested to select one kind of high-efficiency antibacterial agent for antibacterial household paper.Secondly,the antibacterial and physical properties of handsheets,which are prepared by spraying antibacterial in surface and directly adding antibacterial agent in pulp,are evaluated to analyze the effect of different antibacterial agent adding methods.Adding antibacterial agent in pulp is chosen for the manufacturing process of high-efficiency antibacterial household paper.Adding antibacterial agent in pulp after adsorbed by carrier is putted out to improve the deficiencies,low retention rate and unevenly disperses,of directly adding antibacterial agent in pulp.Thirdly,the feasibility of addition in pulp of antibacterial agent after adsorption process by carrier is evaluated and the mechanism of adsorption process for antibacterial agent on carrier is analyzed by kinetic models,isotherm models and FTIR.Finally,the antibacterial and physical properties of handsheets,which are prepared by adding antibacterial agent in pulp after carrier adsorbing,are detected by E.coli and S.aureus.And the results are compared with the handsheets,which are added antibacterial agent by surface spraying and directly adding in pulp.The improving effect of adding antibacterial agent in pulp after carrier adsorbing is evaluated.According to the results,triclosan has a better antibacterial property comparing to A.SAP,propyl ester,and c-polylysine and is more suitable to add into household paper for giving household paper antibacterial activity.Adding antibacterial agent in pulp is chosen to use in the antibacterial household paper manufacturing process,considering about the antibacterial activity,physical properties and production equipments.The disadvantage of adding antibacterial agent in pulp,which needs to be improved,is low retention rate of antibacterial agent in the fiber network.Through the studies of kinetic models,isotherm models,and FTIR for the adsorption process of triclosan on CMFC and cationic starch,following results are found.Different initial concentration(75 mg/L,100 mg/L,125 mg/L et al.)of triclosan can be adsorbed by CMFC and cationic starch and the adsorption processes are chemisorption process.The adsorption processes of triclosan on CMFC and cationic are favorable and the maximum sorption capacity of triclosan on CMFC and cationic starch can reach 120.48 mg/g and 131.58 mg/g,respectively.The CMFC and cationic starch have a high adsorption capacity comparing to other adsorbents(like organic bentonite,activated carbon,carbon nanoparticles et al).The retention rates of triclosan are improved 47.65%and 36.61%,respectively,in fiber network,after the adsorption process by CMFC and cationic starch.Finally,adding triclosan in pulp after CMFC adsorption in paper is chosen as the most suitable method to manufacture antibacterial household paper.Because,this method can give household paper antibacterial activity with improving physical properties.
