Hard and brittle materials with high hardness,high brittleness characteristics,the use of traditional methods of hard and brittle materials processing is very difficult.EDM is the use of spark between the two poles to remove hard and brittle materials,in the processing process does not produce mechanical force,with high processing efficiency.Arc machining is similar to EDM,and arc machining uses electrodes to generate discharge arc groups to erode materials,The current density produced by arc machining is much larger than the current density produced by EDM,so arc machining has higher processing efficiency than EDM,but the machining accuracy needs to be improved.This paper discusses the influence of ultrasonic vibration on arc machining accuracy.The mechanism of arc machining is studied by the mechanism of EDM,and the formation of discharge channel,the erosion of material,the discharge of material and the ionization of intermolecular media are studied in the process of arc discharge.At the same time,according to the characteristics of ultrasonic vibration,the influence of ultrasonic vibration on the discharge channel,pole spacing,erosion and surface quality of the arc during the arc machining process was studied.It was found that ultrasonic vibration could improve the arc machining,Promote the separation and excretion of eclipses.According to the technical requirements of ultrasonic vibration assisted arc machining,the design of the main body for the X,Y,Z coordinate axes and rotating spindle four-axis experimental platform,marble and column together constitute the experimental platform of the stent.The rotary spindle of the core part is designed,which has the function of electrode rotation and ultrasonic vibration.The three-dimensional modeling of the transitional ladder-type compound horn is carried out.The modal analysis is carried out by using Pro-E,and the horn is optimized by modal analysis using Ansys.Ultrasonic vibration assisted arc machining CNC system using Advantech-610L IPC for the host computer and IMAC-400 motion control card for the next bit of the master-slave from the open CNC system.According to the principle of ultrasonic vibration assisted arc machining,the control strategy of CNC system is worked out,and the servo feeding system is analyzed.Use the built-in software Pewin32Pro2 to adjust the PID parameters so that the servo motor can respond in a timely manner and stable operation,the motor was open-loop test.The small hole micrographs were studied by ultrasonic vibration and arc vibration machining with different thickness of spring alloy steel.The small hole micrographs were analyzed by Matlab for small hole edge detection and roundness calculation and compared with each other.The results show that the cavities processed by ultrasonic vibration are better and the edges are smoother.
