The countercurrent permanent magnet wet magnetic separator is the most important medium recovery equipment of Dense Medium Coal Preparation Plant.It has been widely used because of its simple structure,high production efficiency and high recovery rate of medium.however,nowadays the magnetic media loss is still one of the most serious problems of the location selection of heavy-medium coal processing factory,which brings a great burden to the production and the economy.At present,the research on improving the sorting effect of countercurrent permanent magnetic wet magnetic separator is mainly for technology and management.It is usually based on on-spot experience,adjusting production process and strengthening production management,but the effect is not obvious and the promotion is not strong;for equipment innovation.because of the immature theory,the new product development cycle is longer,so are the application circle and the expense.In this paper,the factors such as sieving,analyzing coal quality,separating magnetic and XRD are used to study the effect of countercurrent on the characteristics of coal and coking coal from four aspects:coal quality,feed characteristics,feed mineral composition and medium properties.The magnetic field characteristics of the magnetic separator are analyzed theoretically.The results of the following seven aspects are obtained:1)The influence of coal quality on the selection of magnetic separator;2)The optimum feed solids concentration range for different particle size distributions;3)The relationship between the incoming viscosity and the input concentration,the incoming viscosity and the mineral composition of the incoming material,and the influence of the incoming viscosity on the magnetic selection effect;4)the effect of mineral composition on the magnetic separation effect;5)The influence of the input mineral composition on the sorting performance of the magnetic separator;6)The influence of medium characteristics on magnetic selection.The influence of the above methods on the sorting the effect of the countercurrent permanent magnet wet magnetic separator is of great significance to the reduction of the medium consumption in the magnetic separation equipment of the heavy medium coal preparation plant,which has certain referent value for the new magnetic separation equipment research and development.
