Wrinkling and fracture is the most two kinds of defection in deep drawing processing.The wrinkling tendency can be effectively depressed and the forming effect can be improved with blank holding force applied at different positions of the radial-segmental blank holders owing to that that the blank holding force(BHF)is different along the radial direction.The deeply investigation was conducted and the processing parameters are optimized,there is significant practical significance for applying this method into production.The processing parameters of three segments blank holders and four segments blank holders are investigated and the results were proved.Firstly,the influence factors on the radial-segments blank holder method were investigated using FEM.The deep drawing parameters of three segments blank holders along the radial direction are optimized by the Orthogonal test method,Determine the separate position along the radial direction and the ratio of force loaded on the three segments.The forming limited height is 52.09 mm with constant holding force while the forming limit can achieve 54.79 mm when the holding force applied variedly.What's more,Determine the separate positions of four segments blank holders along the radial direction and the loading rate in the radial direction,The forming limited height is 60.99 mm.Afterwards,the deep drawing process of cylindrical parts was investigated for the integral holder,the segmental holders respectively with the finite element method.The results of research shows that the blank thinning ratio and the maximum tension stress can be decreased and the forming limit can be improved more than 25% and the blank holding force can be saved more than 17.6% using the three segments blank holders.Finally,the experiment device and controlling system was designed and produced.The key of the device is to separate the blank holder into the above and below layers.The below layer is designed to transfer and assign the blank holding force and proportional loading was achieved in this way which was controlled by Labview.Experiments of cylindrical parts were conducted and the results shows that the forming limitation can be obviously improved using the radial-segmental blank holder method compared with the integral holders.The experiment results are consistent with the simulation results.
