As an kind of bimetal composites materials, bimetal composite strip, which has the advantage of excellent comprehensive performance and low price, are widely used in many industrial fields. In recent years, cast-rolling technology, with the characteristics of low energy cost, short process and low cost, is gradually rapid developed. Based on traditional twin roll cast-rolling process, this paper proposes solid-liquid phase compound cast-rolling process to produce bimetal composite strip. In this paper, according to the characteristics of fluid mechanics and twin-roll casting technology, a 3D mathematical model was established, and Q235A-304 steel solid-liquid composite cast-rolling process was simulated with FLUENT, the effect of the casting speed and pouring temperature on temperature field and flow field was analyzed, the process parameters were optimized. Simulation results show that the distribution of temperature field in cast-rolling zone was important factor which affect the quality of composite strip and the stability of casting process, the influence of casting speed are more important than pouring temperature, and when pouring temperature is 1803 K and casting speed is 6m/min, which are more appropriate process parameters, the twin-roll cast-rolling process can be successful.In addition, steel aluminum solid liquid composite cast-rolling process is simulated,and under the existing experimental equipment, with the low melting point of pure aluminum and carbon steel as the raw material, solid- liquid composite rolling experiment was successfully carried out. Through the analysis of experiment process parameters, the preheating temperature of steel plate and the rolling speed is the main parameter which affects the process route. To observe combined layer element distribution in the trend, we make the scanning electron microscopy and spectrum analysis, it is concluded between steel and aluminum atoms permeate each other in the matrix, has formed a certain combination. In order to know more about the combined surface of the composite strip, we make the peel strength test and shear strength test, through the analysis of the strength value, to meet the requirements of a higher bonding surface, the related heat treatment or rolled repeatedly is needed. Finally, it show that it is feasible to apply the technology of solid-liquid composite cast-rolling process, however, to meet the requirement of practical production and application it is necessary to improve the existing test conditions, improve the experiment equipment, and do further experimental research.
