The research level of the CNC machine tools reflects a country’s level of industrialization,especially in the R & D manufacturing level of high-grade CNC machine tools,which makes the country in dominant position in the research field and the product market around the world.So the feed system as the most important component of the CNC machine tools,its design quality directly affects the overall processing performance and accuracy of the machine tool.Because the structure of feed system is complex and the research field is very extensive,so the selection of feed system is important and is the core of the mechanical manufacturing field.Facing the situation that research level of domestic CNC machine tools is very poor compared with the developed industrial countries,in this paper,the design and selection for feed system of domestic CNC machine tools is proposed.The purpose is to realize the selection for the feed system,while ensuring the reliability,high precision and stability of selection.The main content of this paper is selection and design of feed system.Based on multi domain simulation and database support,this paper presents a scheme for the selection for feed system and develop selection software to realize the parametric design for key components of feed system such as servo motor,servo drive,screw,guide rail,bearing,coupling,worktable,gears and other mechanical parts.Selection software is developed using C# in the WinForm platform,the configuration calculation module of system selection achieves precise calculation of the physical parameters.In the selection process of each component,the calculated formulas are guaranteed to be authoritative and the latest research in the field.The database of feed system developed by SQL Server 2008 provides data support and database interface for the selection software.Considering that the selection involves multiple research fields,such as mechanical,electronic,hydraulic,control,and the selection is parameterized,So Modelica language is chosen to create multi domain model for the selection results of the selection software,and simulate the model.The modeling and Simulation by single axis of feed system verifies the results of the selection,guide the process.In the end,system selection software will generate the document and the content of document is the results of selection and simulation.
