This thesis make Kailuan group Fangezhuang coal mine 3553 S fully mechanized word face as the research object, methods in order to collect the coal mine related dates, and do the downhole measured, numerical modeling, indoor analog simulation about the height of water flowing fractured zone, On the basis of the law of movement under the condition of fully mechanized, absorbed the essence of main key stratum discriminant method and statistical experiential formula, unifying them and put forward a new method to forecast the height of water flowing fractured zone.With the downhole pressure water test to make actual measurement for the height of water conducted zone, analyzed the experimental data and we know that the height of water conducted zone in 35.95~37.3m, and according to the working face mining geological description and rock physical and mechanical characteristics, then make numerical modeling and indoor analog simulation, the simulation results of 36.38 m and 34.26 m respectively.Based on the migration law of overburden, combined with downhole measurement and numerical simulation results, put forward a new method combined the main key stratum and statistical data, if the main key strata within the scope of the caving zone and destroyed after extractions, empirical formula calculated value is the height of water flowing fractured zone; If the main key stratum in the fractured zone and unbroken, the height of water flowing fractured zone equals to the distance of the key stratum to coal seam, if the main key stratum destroyed, look up to find the unbroken inferior key strata, the distance of the coal seam with it is the height of water flowing fractured zone. Application results in many mining areas show that the new method closely integrated the migration rule of overburden, strong applicability and high prediction accuracy.
