Water pollution is becoming an ecological problem that restricts the sustainable development of human and environment.In addition to traditional physical and chemical methods,water purification can also use the functions of aquatic plants to purify water quality.Aquatic plants equipped with good ornamental value as well as the functions of water purification,it is believed to have the advantages such as high ornamental value,good purification effect,less investment,easy maintenance and so on.In this paper,six kinds of aquatic plants including Thalia dealbata,Sagittaria sagittifolia,Aphelandra ruellia,Iris tectorum,Canna indica,Pontederia cordate are used to conduct the water purification experiment in Fuzhou West Lake Park,and the comprehensive evaluation between purification effect and ornamental effect of the six kinds of aquatic plants were also conducted based on the result of the experiment.Finally,models of optimal allocation of aquatic plants in West Lake Park are put forward according to the conclusion of the study.The results are as follows:1.The results on purification of six aquatic plants showed that the selected six kinds of aquatic plants had a significant removal effect and the concentratins of TN,TP and Permanganate in the six aquatic plants were lower than those in the blank control,there are significant differences in the removal ability of different kinds of aquatic plants on each pollution indicators in seasons.As for TN,the removal efficiency of TN on average in orders are Iris tectorum,Aphelandra ruellia,Thalia dealbata.The removal rate are 70.6%,62.4%,53.3%.As for TP,the removal efficiency of TP on average in orders are Iris tectorum,Thalia dealbata,Canna indica.The removal rate are 73.6%,73.1%,70%.As for Permanganate,the removal efficiency of Permanganate on average in orders are Pontederia cordate,Aphelandra ruellia,Iris tectorum.The removal rate are 35.9%,34.6%,25.8%.2.The comprehensive evaluation between purification effect and ornamental effect of the six kinds of aquatic plants were conducted with AHP and the results show that:The comprehensive value in order are Iris tectorum>Aphelandra ruellia>Canna indica>Pontederia cordate>Thalia dealbata>Sagittaria sagittifolia.It means that Iris tectorum and Aphelandra ruellia have good qualities both in water purification and ornamentation.3.According to the results of comprehensive evaluation between purification effect and ornamental effect of the six kinds of aquatic plants,selected aquatic plants in high comprehensive value and the exiting forms of item in west lake park to make 15 kinds of construction mode of optimizing allocation and put forward some recommendations.Providing the reference in aquatic plant configuration and the design in surrounding water trails for the design of West Lake Park landscape the lake and ecological floating island.4.Conducting system theory research on floating island in west kake park and its design in order to provide theoretical support and reference for the transformation of west lake park on floating island.
