Supramolecular polymer refers to the use of intermolecular reversible non-covalent bond to self-assemble the polymer-like system.Compared with conventional covalent polymer macromolecules, the presence of noncovalent bonds in the supramolecular polymer system makes the supramolecular polymer have some excellent properties, such as dynamic adjustable structure,stimulus-response,self-repairing performance and excellent processing performance in the external environment. Therefore,in recent years, supramolecular polymers are increasingly concerned by researchers and developed into a separate emerging disciplines.Research and development of multi-functional supramolecular polymer materials have become a hot topic in recent years.Based on the non-covalent bonds, the supramolecular polymer can not only be widely used in the biological field, such as biological drug loading, biomimetic device, tissue engineering and so on,but also for intelligent materials because of its good stimulating responsiveness and self-repairing.In this paper, the main purpose of this paper is to investigate the functionalized supramolecular polymer materials containing the tetrateylethylene fluorophore with AIE effect, which are formed by the coordination of terpyridine ligand with metal ions and the interaction between the crown ether and the secondary ammonium salt introduce. This paper is divided into the following two parts:1)A host molecule with a di-benzo-24-crown-8 liking two tetraphenylethylene fluorescence chromophore in the middle and two terpyridine molecules at both ends was synthesized The supramolecular polymer was formed by the 1:1 coordination of zinc ions with tripyridine groups, followed by the intermediate crown ether group as the access site and the secondary ammonium salt. The interaction between the host and guest leads to the formation of a cross-linked network of supramolecular polymer by self-assembly.When the monomers’ concentration increased to 30 mM,a supramolecular polymer gel can be formed. This supramolecular polymer gel has a good stimulating response to the temperature, acidity in the environment and a good self-healing property in the case of large area destruction. This material can be used inthe field of artificial intelligence and chemical sensors in the future.2)We design and synthesize a small molecule fluorescent probe with tetraphenylvinyl group as the fluorescent signal and the terpyridine group as the binding site of the target metal. The benzo-21-crown-7 group in the fluorescence probe has the host-guest interaction with the secondary ammonium salt, which can form linear supramolecular polymer. The fluorescence intensity of this supramolecular polymer fluorescent probe can be significant enhancement when zinc or cadmium metal ions was added. Thus, this supramolecular polymer fluorescent probe can be used to the detection of zinc or cadmium metal ions.
