In the recent decade, porous organic framework materials have attracted great interest of scientists from all over the world because of the light-weight skeleton, tunable pore size and high surface area. These materials have great potential applications in gas sorption, gas separation, heterogeneous catalysis and photoelectricity and so on.Porous aromatic framework,as an important member of porous organic frameworks, has developed well in the last few years. This thesis is dedicated to synthesize PAF material with small pore and explore the applications in gas sorption and heterogeneous catalysis.Firstly, planar monomer with cyano group was selected as building unit and catalyzed by ZnCl2 under high temperature via ionothermal reaction to synthesize novel porous aromatic framework material(PAF-72).This PAF material exhibited great chemical and thermal stability and BET surface area is 582 m2 g-1.At room temperature,PAF-72 showed good sorption ability at CO2,CH4 and some liquid vapors such as benzene, toluene, ethanol etc.Then,PAF-72 was selected to be a scaffold to support metal to hydrolyze ammonia borane for hydrogen evolution and exhibited great catalyst ability and circularity.A greater catalyst ability of porous aromatic framework with nitrogen as supporter was exhibited compared to carbon black. The preparation of PAF materials and catalysis as metal supporter enrich applications of PAF materials which show good gas sorption capacity and great catalytic effect. It provides great potential and infinite possibility for its widespread applications in other types of catalytic reactions.
