The coke quenching technology is a key part of the Metallurgical and Coking Industry.Its efficiency and processes not only have effects on the production but also on the following economic and environmental benefits.This thesis explores a method,three stage coke steam quenching technology,to recycle the energy of hot coke while quenching.And it also analyzes and discusses the basic parameters.The major research results are included following.Firstly,this thesis initially develops a coke quenching technology which falls into three stage according to the different quenching principles.It is that when the coke entering with a temperature of 1050 degree Celsius,they react quickly with the steam first and then are discharged in a temperature of 850 degree Celsius.Then a mount of water make the coke cooling to 550 degree Celsius through vaporization.Thirdly,a mount of water make the coke cooling to 200 degree Celsius in a airtight tank.At the process of quenching,the related three stage reduce the consumption of the water resources,add the economic benefits and have smaller influence on the coke quality than Coke Wet Quenching Technology.Secondly,when dealing with 1 ton carbon,it will produce a mixture of H2 O,H2,CO and CO2 with a percent of 27.77,39.52,25.91 and 6.80 respectively.The gas is similar to the water-gas produced in the industry.After condensation,the volume of the mixture is 5.4×104m3.The consumption of water in the temperature of 60 degree Celsius is 0.32 ton.It also produces 0.9 ton steam,which pressure is 0.3 MPa,temperature is 132.9 degree Celsius.The consumption of water is much smaller than the Coke Wet Quenching Technology.Thirdly,after condensation,the low calorific value of the mixture is 5.40×105kJ/Nm3 and the high is 6.38×105 kJ/Nm3.Even though the amount of CO can not be negligible,it indicates a possibility to be reused in urban gas through the water gas shift reaction and the regulation of steam velocity.And the steam with the pressure of0.3 MPa can be used to generate electricity and that can save the energy charge about9.6 million yuan per year.What's more,during the whole process,the coke have been cost by 4.89 percent.It can be done by putting the coke powder or the char powder to the cell of pre-deposit or through the vibratory feeding to competitive with the char coke,and that can reduce the consumption of coke.Last but not least,it analyzes the time of quenching process.The minimum time of the thermal conductivity is 83.92 seconds,71.01 seconds and 54.13 seconds respectively in the high,middle and low temperature.The heat up processes cost916.34 seconds in middle part and 1361.30 seconds in the last part.That is the three stage technology cost a minimum time in 42 minutes.Considered the Coke Dry Quenching Technology cost 3 hours to quench coke,this technology obviously has advantages.
