The temporal and spatial distribution of sulfur in wetland sediments plays an important role in regional eco-environmental problems and atmospheric composition balance.Inorganic sulfur has many valence states and complex reactions. It is the most active factor in the sulfur cycle of wetland. It is of great significance to study the speciation and influencing factors of inorganic sulfur in wetland sediments. In this paper, three kinds of deposit sediment(? 35cm)were taken from mangrove environment, spartina environment and mudflat environment(hereinafter referred to as mangrove, spartina, mudflat)in Beishan Village coastal wetland,Fujian Province. The grain size, carbon, inorganic sulfur and some dissolved ions in the sediments were examined to determine the inorganic sulfur content in this area. The content level and distribution characteristics of various forms were analyzed, and the influencing factors of inorganic sulfur distribution in coastal wetlands were discussed. The results are as follows:1.The content of inorganic sulfur in the sediment of Luoyuan Bay generallyshowed: chromium-reducible sulfide(CRS)> acid-volatile sulfide(AVS)>elemental sulfur(ES).Overall, the reduction efficiency of CRS was high, thecontent of CRS accounted for about 90% of total inorganic sulfur.2.The content of organic carbon in sediments of Luoyuan is 0.53%-1.42%,with an average content of 0.97% ? The average content shows thatmangroves > Spartina > mudflat.3.The average particle size of sediment in Luoyuan Bay is 6.879?m;the mainsedimentary types for offshore is classified into turbidite deposition;sediment type is “clay-fine silty sand” and poor sorting.4.The total organic carbon and inorganic sulfur in the sediments showedsignificant positive correlation and there was negative correlation betweenorganic carbon and sulfate. The ferrous ion in sediments is negativelycorrelated with pyrite and sulfur. There is no significant correlation betweengrain size and organic carbon in Luoyuan Bay sediments. The grain size of sediments is negatively correlated with total inorganic sulfur. It showed that sulfur cycle in sediment need to consume organic matter, and ferrous ion in the reaction of pyrite. The particle size of sediment is conducive to the preservation and adsorption of sulfide.
