Acidic copper chloride etching waste liquor was produced in Printed Circuit Board industry annually which contains lots of hydrochloric acid and cupric chloride, and the copper content is as high as 120g/L, which is of great value for recycling. In this thesis, the technology of comprehensive recovery and utilization of acidic copper chloride etching waste liquor were studied. The production equipments were suggested in our studies, the economic benefits and the environment analysis were estimated too. The products were characterized by chemical analysis, XRD and SEM.The main results are as follows:(1)The synthesis processes of cuprous chloride from acidic copper chloride etching waste liquor were studied. Chemical analysis showed that the purity of cuprous chloride product reached 99.1%, impurity content of copper chloride was less than 0.6%. The main indexes met the high-class requirements of Cuprous Chloride National Standard. It can be seen in XRD and SEM that the product was cuprous chloride powder with irregular polyhedrons, whose average size was about 2-13 ?m.(2)It was determined in this experiment that the optimum conditions for preparing premium cuprous oxide by using cuprous chloride as raw material, which was synthesized from acidic copper chloride etching waste liquor. Chemical analysis showed that the purity of cuprous oxide product reached 99.2%, with no impurity of copper. The main indexes followed the standard of Premium Cuprous Oxide. It can be seen in XRD and SEM that the sample was cuprous oxide powder with the shape of irregular polyhedrons, and its average size was about 150-400 nm.(3)The synthesis processes of cuprous oxide from acidic copper chloride etching waste liquor were studied. Chemical analysis showed that the purity of cuprous oxide product reached 98.4%, impurity content of copper chloride was less than 0.1%, the main indexes met the high-class requirements of Cuprous Oxide Industrial Standard.The sample's main phase was cuprous oxide with the morphology of irregular polyhedrons and spherical-like particles,which can be seen in XRD and SEM,and the average size was about 65-700 nm.(4)The results of economic benefit estimation showed that, the production of cuprous oxide from acidic copper chloride etching waste liquor had good economic benefits.The environmental analysis showed that in this manufacturing process there was nearly no waste pollution. So it was a clean production process.
