Transitional metal-catalyzed trifluoromethylation provides a new idea for the introduction of trifluoromethyl in organic molecules and has become a hot topic in recent years. In this paper, the development history and current situation of copper-catalyzed trifluoromethylation are reviewed. The reaction examples of the introduction of trifluoromethyl groups on the carbon atoms of copper are enumerated. The trifluoromethylation reaction of transition metal is The key to organic synthesis is the development of highly efficient and inexpensive catalytic systems to build various hybrid C-CF3 bonds. In this paper, copper is involved in the introduction of trifluoromethyl, the full text is divided into two parts:The trifluoromethylation reaction of alkylated halides with copper reported in the previous reports can not effectively solve the problem of trifluoromethylation of alkyl chlorides. We have found that alkylation of alkyl chlorides under light and copper catalysis Trifluoro methylation reaction. The advantages of this reaction is the functional group compatibility is good, the substrate to adapt to a wide range of mild reaction conditions, operability. The new method provides an effective route for the introduction of trifluoromethyl groups on the alkyl group, enriched the synthesis of alkylated trifluoromethyl-containing biologically active molecules. In response to the challenge of the difficulty of the synthesis of trifluoromethyl propargyl alcohol derivatives, we have designed a copper-catalyzed reaction of trifluoroethyl-substituted alkynyl-based iodine reagents. The advantage of this reaction is that the functional group has good compatibility, mild reaction conditions and simple operation. The new method not only provides an effective way to introduce trifluoromethyl, enriches the range of the substrate of the trifluoromethyl compound, but also provides a method for the synthesis of the secondary trifluoro propargyl alcohol.
