In the reservoir geology research, water layer recognition, which can be more accurate, has always been a very worthy of attention. The chang 6 group of the Pengtan-Xin'anbian area is characterized by the low-porosity and ultra-low permeability reservoir. The high current water production corresponds to low recovery percentage, and rate of logging interpretation is low. Therefore we carry out the secondary fine interpretation of the study area to Determine the oil and water interpretation of standards,to determine the effective thickness of the oil field, which can guide the development and production of great significance. In this paper, the Chang6 group of Pengtan area is taken as an example.First, the well series is optimized to return the depth of the core by the method of illustration and correlation. It is found that there is a low resistance oil layer in the study area with logging data and oil test data and the cause of low resistance is found. Therefore, the working area is divided into two regions to study the "four" relationship, and then to establish calculation model of two blocks of reservoir hole, seepage, saturated mud content parameter. Finally, the cross plot technique is used to determine the interpretation standard of oil and water layer in the north and south regions, and a set of well interpretation model for two partitions is established. The analysis results show that the secondary interpretation model can accurately identify the oil and water layers and determine the effective thickness.
