Mechanical seal is a common form of rotary shaft seal,especially in the petrochemical industry occupies an important position.The choice of mechanical seal friction material plays a dominant role in its performance.carbon fiber reinforced ceramic matrix composites as a new composite material,and Tantao composite materials have excellent wear resistance,corrosion resistance,high mechanical strength,good thermal conductivity,small number of friction,and so on.First,the geometric model of Tantao mechanical seal friction pair(dynamic,static ring)and friction pair end face is established,mesh module is used to mesh the friction pairs,the friction pairs are meshed,the boundary conditions are loaded,and then imported steady module and fluent module,numerical simulation by control method.In the simulation of the temperature characteristics of the friction mechanical seal friction pair,the temperature field distribution of the seal matching material,seal medium type,sealing shaft speed and annular seal space pressure is changed,respectively.When the flow field of the friction pair is simulated,the liquid film pressure field / velocity field is obtained,and the simulation value of the leakage size is obtained.Secondly,this paper uses the mechanical seal test bed to measure the position temperature and leakage rate of the central position of Tantao mechanical seal.finally,the data and numerical simulation results are compared,and the accuracy of the numerical simulation is verified,and the reason of the difference.Through numerical simulation and experimental measurement,the effect of working condition parameters on the temperature field and the flow field distribution of the mechanical seal friction pair is obvious,parameter change will change the heat flux of the friction pair,the heat transfer of seal ring and surrounding seal,the pressure field / velocity field,and affect the working state of the whole Tantao mechanical seal system.Through numerical simulation and experimental research,it plays an important role in reducing leakage of mechanical seal,reducing temperature rise,friction and wear,and provides theoretical and practical basis for the optimization design of mechanical seal.
