The Impact Of Equity Structure And Governance Environment On Carbon Information Disclosure

The phenomenon of Global warming and environmental degradation have been paid widely attention,countries all around the world began to attach importance to carbon emission reduction and environmental protection,so does our country.As the important participant of social economic activities,the enterprise disclosure the carbon information actively is of great significance.At present,the level of carbon information disclosure in China is very low,and the disclosure level is affected by various factors.This article selected financial and non-financial information of Shanghai a-share listed companies as the research sample,to research on equity structure,the governance environment on the influence of the carbon disclosure.Firstly,based on the related theory,we put forward relevant assumptions;Secondly,in reference to domestic and foreign authorities on carbon disclosure,we build our own carbon disclosure framework,on the other hand,we scored the sample enterprise;Thirdly,we take the ownership concentration and equity balance degree as the alternative variables of equity structure.We take the government administrative management,the legal environment and the social environment as the alternative variables of governance environment.We take the company scale,the company whether or not disclosure the relevant responsibility report and whether or not they use the top 10 certified public accountants to audit as the control variables,to study the relationship between the carbon disclosure and each variable of the enterprise.Fourthly,the article use the multivariate linear regression analysis method to do the study,through the descriptive statistical analysis,the correlation analysis and the multivariate linear regression analysis,we get the research conclusions.The equity concentration of the company is higher,the property rights belongs to the country and the social environment is good,which can promote the company to disclosure their information about carbon disclosure.Companies which in the poor legal environment are more willing to disclose carbon information to improve their enterprise image,The government administrative management level and carbon disclosure is not significantly negative correlation.Finally,the article puts forward relevant policy suggestions from the companies and the government angles of view on how to improve the level of carbon disclosure.
