| Seawater is highly corrosive,so non-corrosion resisting metal such as magnesium alloy is not widely used in the shipping industry and ocean engineering equipment.In order to comply with the rapid development of society,ship and ocean equipment needs to move in the more specified and more diverse direction,so in the field of ocean,the development of multifunctional materials is urgent.Magnesium alloy is a class of metals which have a variety of excellent properties and there is huge potential for development in the field of multifunctional materials.In the early 1980 s,began to exploit the application of magnesium alloy in the field of ocean by using the principle of primary battery,for example the magnesium alloy sacrificial anode for cathodic protection,the recovery or timing trigger device of marine primary instrument and hydrogen buoyancy compensator,etc.However,research on the solubility of magnesium alloy was not thorough enough,and it lack of systematic theory and experimental studies to guide application.This article is focused on soluble magnesium alloy which is a kind of integrated structure/function materials can either play excellent mechanical properties in strength and hardness or dissolved in a definite solution without destroying the environment.First,preparing different components of soluble magnesium alloy by using metal powders sintering,then,applying microstructure observation,mechanical capability test and solubility test to study and discuss performance of the alloy,finally,preparing for the practical application.The main results are as follows:1.It can be found through employing powder metallurgy technology to prepare soluble magnesium alloy and observing alloy microstructural that the powder sintering method can prepare the alloy with even grain size and compact structure and the mean grain size is equal to the size sintering magnesium power.2.The hardness and strength tests of alloy samples with different components show that aluminum contents and aluminum powder’s size both affect the mechanical property of the alloy:① When aluminum contents in the range of 2.5~6.5%wt,the hardness and compression strength of the alloy increase with the increase of aluminum contents;②The hardness and compression strength of the alloy prepared by nano aluminum grain are significantly higher than the hardness and compression strength of the alloy prepared by micron aluminum grain.3.Solubility test of soluble magnesium alloy is designed to research the effects of matrix factors and external conditions on magnesium alloy’s solubility property.The results show that:① With the increase of aluminum contents,the dissolution rate of the sample increases;② The dissolution rate of the alloy prepared by micron aluminum grain is faster than that of the alloy prepared by nano aluminum grain;③ The solution temperature affects the dissolution rate of the alloy that the higher the temperature is the faster the dissolution rate is;④ The Cl-concentration of the solution affects the dissolution rate of the alloy that the higher the Cl-concentration is the faster the dissolution rate is. |
