The majority of scholars are always attention of the field of optically active polymers. It can be applied in many fields, such as biology, medicine, etc.Because the special optical activity of the optically active polymers. The field of optically active polymers has a considerable development space.Recently,It has been a hotspot on how to regulate the reaction of the polymerization in stereochemistry, explore the relationship between the performance of high polymer materials and the regularity of the structure.In general, the different kinds of Lewis acid are in favor of the formation of polymers with various stacticity, which endows them with high optical property and some performance. In the present work, we have developed an effective synthsis for a new type of optically active methacrylamides,including L-MATMAM and L-MAPAMAM. Poly[L-MATMAM] and Poly[L-MAPAMAM] were goted through radical polymerization. It were used that infrared spectrum, hydrogen and carbon spectrum of nuclear magnetic resonance to determine the structure of the product. It were used that optical rotation analyzer and circular dichroism (CD) to investigate the optical activity of the polymers.Free radical polymerization was used which has higher rate of production and suitable for the polymerization of acrylamide monomers to get the polymers. The effects of various conditions,such as the different polarity of solvent, the different concentration of Lewis acid,the different concentration of monomers and the different kinds of Lewis acid were examined.It was different when change the condition of free radical polymerization. The results showed that isotacticity of the polymers prepared in the presents of Lewis acid were higher than those without Lewis acid. isotacticity of the polymers prepared the low concentration of Lewis acid were lower than those with higher concentration of Lewis acid. Isotacticity of the polymers. It was showed that the lower polarity of polymerization solvent and concentration of monomers, the higher isotacticity of the polymers.It is showed that the relationship between optical activity of polymers and isotacticity of the polymers was relatively close. Optical activity increased with isotacticity.meanwhiles, isotacticity of the polymers influced the polydipersities(Mw/Mn) of the polymers. The polydipersities were more narrow when isotacticity of the polymers was increased.
