C-C, C-S bond-forming reactions play an important role in organic synthesis. The aryl sulfides containing C-S, which exhibited pharmacological and physiological activities, are one of the particularly useful components of functional macromolecule materials. Tri-benzene containing C-C and its derivatives are important polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which take advantage of special photoelectric properties show a wide range of applications in the material. The thesis is focused on the synthesis of aryl sulfides catalyzed by copper and triacene catalyzed by palladium.First, anhydrous CuSO4 was used to catalyze the reaction of aromatic boronic acid with 2-mercaptobenzoic acid under solvent water. The ligand was non-toxic DL-proline, and the reaction system was in accordance with the current green chemistry. In the post-treatment separation and purification processes, two methods were adopted. One is the general column chromatography method, the other is a simple filter purification method. The filter method is simple and no organic solvents were used which meets the green chemical requirements. And then 19 kinds of aryl thioether compounds was obtained catalyzed by CuSO4,using 5,5’-dithiobis (2-nitrobenzoic acid) and aromatic boronic acid as starting materials, but the yield is low. The subsequent reaction of 5,5’-dithiobis (2-nitrobenzoic acid) with aromatic boronic acid catalyzed by self-made CuO was also investigated, which proved to be more efficient than CuSO4. Compared with the traditional method, the experimental method above can be carried out under the condition of air environment. The carbon source was also replaced by low toxicity and commercialized aromatic boronic acid.In this thesis, the reaction of 2-iodobiphenyl with iodobenzene catalyzed by the palladium complex prepared by our research group was also studied. The reaction system was catalyzed by double palladium catalyzed C-H activation and C-C key formation compared to the traditional synthetic triisobenzene. This process is easy to control and requires no special gas protection compared to conventional polycyclic cyclization reactions.
