Packing columns is one of the greatest consumer of energy operation units in distillation process industry.Flooding phenomenon is the key problem for restricting the improvement of the comprehensive economic efficiency in packing column.With the globalization resources nervousness and the national attention on energy saving and emission reduction,enhancing the comprehensive utilization efficiency of the structured packing column attracts more researchers' attention.Flooding is a natural phenomenon in the gas and liquid countercurrent flow packing columns.It's inevitably to occur.Performing the online monitoring and control ability on packing flooding performance can improve the comprehensive efficiency of the packing column.The experiment and theoretical analysis investigation Flooding hydraulics characteristic of air and water two phase flow was made in the column with CY700 type of stainless steel gauze corrugated packing.The paper put emphasis on the hydraulics pressure drop characteristic on flooding performance in packing columns,which may guide the further study on how to improve the performance flooding performance.The main work and results are as follows:1.Based on literature and experiment related packing columns,design the whole set experimental device,F 220mm plexiglass structured packing column,and debug experiment test control system,and correct the accuracy and sensitivity of the whole system to ensure the reliability of the experimental data.2.At room temperature and atmospheric pressure,flooding performance was studied in structured packing column at the condition that the water flow is stable but air flow changes,or the air flow is stable but water flow changes respectively.In each operation,keep stage stable for 10 minutes and collect the packing layer pressure drop of the upper and lower segment experimental.3.According packing layer pressure drop of the upper and lower segment at different Spray ? and different F factor,the analysis results show that the increase of the gas or liquid fluxes will cause the emergence of the flooding in structured packing column,the packing layer pressure drop will sharply increase,and the gas and liquid interphase fluctuate violently and the flow state become confusion;the upper and lower packing layer pressure drop was showed normal distribution law with distinctive characteristic at different operation stages.4.Through the standard deviation computation and spectrum analysis with the signal of the packing layer pressure drop,it shows that the standard deviation of the packing layer pressure drop will sharply increase while the flooding turn up and the packing layer pressure drop has a distinctive characteristic power spectral density at different conditions and different operation stages in packing column.5.During upstroke and down stroke operation at different conditions in structured packing column,once flooding happened and decrease the gas or liquid fluxes,flooding hysteresis phenomenon will occur.Different characteristic flooding hysteresis was showed at different conditions and the law and reason for the flooding hysteresis disappearance was studied,which has a guide on safe operations in structured packing columns.
