In recent years, with the rapid development of science and technology,industrial production equipment tends to become large-scale, complex and intelligent, how to ensure continuous and efficient operation of equipment and reduce equipment troubleshooting time for improving production efficiency and reduce business loss is significant. The equipment fault diagnosis technology is becoming more and more important as a special subject of fault diagnosis.In this paper, the tread compound extrusion line PLC control system for the background, introduced the tread extrusion line process flow, technical indicators,combined with its control system and the overall structure and performance characteristics of the tire tread compound extrusion The fault type, scope and the reason of PLC control system. In this paper,fault diagnosis based on fault tree and fault diagnosis based on data driven are used to realize the failure of the extruder. In this paper, the fault diagnosis model based on fault tree is introduced.In the expert diagnosis method based on fault tree, this paper introduces the principle and method of fault tree analysis and the realization of each functional module of expert diagnosis system. Introducing the fault tree According to the order of the fault tree establishment, qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation, the concept of the minimum cut set importance and the importance degree of the bottom event are brought forward, and the two important degrees are used in the extruder fault diagnosis. In the part of expert system, a method combining rule-based diagnosis expert system and frame-based diagnosis expert system is proposed to set up fault diagnosis expert system. At last, the fault tree is connected with the knowledge base of diagnosis expert system, and expert knowledge is displayed comprehensively,systematically and hierarchically. The diagnosis knowledge is acquired and the consistency and completeness of the diagnosis knowledge are ensured.In the data-driven fault diagnosis method,this paper studies the characteristics of production process of tire tread compound extrusion production line with multivariable,nonlinear, strong coupling, large hysteresis and uncertainty. A New Method of Fault Diagnosis and Prediction Based on Data Driven. Based on the characteristics of different types of faults in extruder production, a fault detection method based on principal component analysis (PCA) is proposed. By calculating the covariance matrix of the process variables, the eigenvalues of the process variables are extracted, and the main fault diagnosis of the extruder is established. Meta model, and then according to the T2 and Q statistics to determine whether the detection process beyond the normal control limit, if a fault occurs, the test program will give a warning prompt, suggesting that the process of abnormal operating conditions.At last, this paper develops the expert system of rubber extruder fault diagnosis based on virtual instrument Lab VIEW. After testing, the system can quickly locate the cause of the failure, effectively reduce the failure to exclude maintenance time.
