With the problems of long-term measurement,immeasurable hidden area,etc.for the core components assembly of the large-scale scientific equipment,this paper proposes a innovative portable articulated coordinate measuring machine and laser tracker combination measurement method to overcome the shortcoming the individual measurement instrument,which will provide a valid measurement method for the future the assembly and deformation detection of the core components of the large-scale scientific equipment.Firstly,this paper introduces the measurement system combination,measurement principle and model,proposes the error compensation method for the transformation between two instruments and measurement method for the hidden areas of the large-scale scientific equipment and analyzes the distributions of the datum and the error sources resulting in lowering the measurement accuracy of combined measurement network.Secondly,According to the structural characteristics and the requirements of the assembly accuracy of the core components in the EAST equipment and Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility,the detailed combination measurement scheme is proposed and verified,and its real measurement results meet the design requirements.Last,in order to find and refine the potential problems,this paper has analyzed the application testing results for the core components as well as its relevant graphs of data analysis,analyzed the error sources and evaluated the accuracy of combination measurement network.
