Study On The Preparation And Influence Factors Of Coal Pitch Water Slurry With Two Kinds Of Dispersants

The coal tar pitch is the most a large amount of product during the coal tar processing,whose yield can account for about 54%to 56%of coal tar.The researches of coal tar pitch are mainly focused on carbon materials adhesive bonding,refractory materials adhesive bonding,impregnating pitch,arbon fiber,coal needle coke,road construction and building materials at home and abroad.With the development of coal chemical industry in our country,the processing research of coal tar has become a new hotspot for study,and in the research and developing this high value coal tar pitch,there are not only great economic values but also great social significance.In this paper,according to brittleness of coal tar pitch at low temperature,freezing pulverization technique was adopted,which widely applied in the industry of rubber,foodstuff and Chinese herbal medicine,a kind of coal tar pitch powder with different sizes was prepared by adding proper dispersant.Based on the result of the previous studies,we extended the range of screening the dispersants,and it is the key choice of octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(HDBAC)and cetyl dimethyl benzyl group ammonium chloride(STAC)to prepare the coal pitch water slurry(CPWS).The effect of the HDBAC and STAC on the slurry ability,rheological behavior and stability of CPWS were investigated,at the same time,the research of dispersant solution's adsorption characteristics on the coal tar pitch surface and the influence of two dispersants on Zeta potential of coal pitch surface,and contact angle of dispersant solution on the coal pitch surface were carried out.The results have shown that the according to the requirement can be prepared by HDBAC and STAC as dispersants,besides the comparison with STAC dispersant shows that HDBAC has a better effect.At the same dispersant dosage,the apparent viscosity of CPWS increased with the increasing of slurry concentration.At the range of the experiments,using the HDBAC and STAC as dispersants,the maximum slurry concentrations of CPWS can all reach to 70%;the increasing shear rate decreased the apparent viscosity of different concentration of CPWS,so CPWS is a kind of pseudo-plastic liquid.The CPWS had well rheological behavior at the range of experiments;the stability of CPWS became worse and worse with increasing store time;the adsorption of dispersants and the Zeta potential of coal pitch surface increased with increasing concentration of the dispersant solution;the addition of dispersant could reduce the contact angle on the coal pitch surface for water,which played the key roles on forming the stable dispersion system.
