As an entirely novel and efficient gas-liquid contactor,Rotating Packed Bed can greatly intensify the process of mass transfer and micromixing by using centrifugal field to replace the gravitational field.On the basis of Rotating zigzag bed(RZB),the high-gravity rotating jet bed(RJB)is developed as another type of Higee with the property of high efficiency.The core components of RJB are the jetting rotor and coil-type liquid distributor which can be rotated synchronously and the rotor play a decisive role on the performance of RJB.Distillation experiments were carried out with 10 types of jetting rotor using ethanol-water systems at atmospheric pressure and total reflux in RJB.Influences of F-factor and rotational speed on mass transfer performance of RJB were investigated.Mass transfer model were established to calculate the mass transfer coefficient in rotating packed bed.Then the gas pressure drop of RJB was investigated in detail with the system of air-water.The sealing performance of the centrifugal seal was preliminary explored with closure to CO2 of constant pressure.The experimental results show that:(1)The gas side volurnetric mass transfer coefficient increased with an increase in the F-factor as well as with the rotational speed.(2)The mass transfer efficiency of the RJB reached the maximum value with the increase of the F-factor or rotational speed and the HETP of the RJB is 25?68mm..The mass transfer efficiency of RJB can be enhanced 0.45-1.28 times by filling Pall ring or compositing with mesh to the rotational baffle.(3)The dry bed gas pressure drop or irrigated bed pressure drop increased with the increase of F-factor,but the spray density has a little effect on the irrigated bed pressure drop.(4)The correlation equations of the gas side volumetric mass transfer coefficient and the pressure drop were obtained from the regression of experimental data.Calculated value agreed well with experimental value,and the average deviation was less than 9%.(5)The gas leakage of centrifugal seal increased with the increase of the pressure,but decrease of the rotating speed.
