Nanofiber has been subject to the attention of the majority of the industry .As for the further research of nanometer materials, the antibacterial materials be composed of nanofibers have become a new trend of food packaging materials. Electrospinning is the unique method which can produce nanofibers directly and continuously. Electrospinning is a technique that can be used to produce nanofibers from polymer solution or melt form a jet under the action of high electric field. Compared with the traditional production method,which has many advantages, such as abundant raw materials, the process is simple, mild operating condition.This paper had mixed polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and thyme oil with a certain proportion, then had prepared antibacterial nanofiber membrane by the electrospinning,also had studied its properties. Firstly, the experiment had preparaed PVA nanofibers of of different mass concentration from 4% to 10% via electrospinning. Then had analyzed their SEM photos. The result showed that the optimal distribution of PVA fiber is 8 %.Then the experiment had mixed 8% polyvinyl alcohol and different concentrations of thyme essential oil, also had analyzed the properties of fiber under different conditions. The results showed that the mass concentration of thyme oil is 1.5%, spinning voltage 16kV,spinning rate is 0.5ml/h, receiving distance is 12cm, antibacterial nanofiber membrane had better performance. The fiber diameter thickness was uniformity, smooth and had core -shell structure by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observation.Thyme essential oil and bacteriostatic composition had been analyzed by the technology of the gas phase mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (GC-MS). As can be seen from the test results, nanofibers membrane of electrospinning restrain the sudden release of the essential oils effectively. Then the experiment tested nanofibers membrane antibacterial of electrospinning. According to the point of bacteriostatic ring diameter analysis, electrostatic spinning of nanofibers membrane is a good way to restrain penicillium,gray mold,the growth of escherichia coli and golden staphylococcus.Comprehensive comparison, the bacteriostatic effect of electrostatic spinning of nanofibers membrane is superior to the emulsion cast film.Finally, this paper made nanofibers membrane of electrospinning as antibacterial liner and applied to the fresh preserving of cherry tomatoes. The sensory quality, weightlessness rate, decay rate, soluble solids content, total acid content, Vc content were used as the indicators of preservation. The results showed that using electrostatic spinning of nanofibers membrane antibacterial liner as packaging materials can inhibit the growth of cherry tomatoes to rotten microorganisms effectively and delay cherry tomatoes in water,soluble solid content, total acid and Vc and other nutrients significantly in the storage period of 16 days.This paper had prepared antibacterial nanofiber membrane with core - shell structure successfully by the traditional electrospinning technology, also achieved the effective package of thyme essential oil and provided a new way to solve the problem of sudden release of essential oil. At the same time, the paper broaden the application of essential oils,is expected to be in food or medicine packaging has a more broad prospects.
