Because of its wide applicability, simple preparation process and environmental friendliness, the melt electrospinning technology has a greater advantage than the traditional method in the preparation of phase change fibers. There are some defects in traditional preparation technology about phase change fibers, such as coarse fiber, poor sealing or cumbersome preparation process . In order to improve the quality and phase transition properties of prepared phase change fibers, and make it widely used in life, a new device is designed, which is based on melt electrospinning technology. And we study the new preparation process and promote the application of phase change fibers.First, melt electrospinning was introduced in the preparation of phase change fibers. We used composite of PP (PLA) and PEG as melt electrospinning material. Further, we studied the effect of temperature,voltage, PEG ratio and material properties on structure and phase transition properties of composite phase change fibers in melt electrospinning process. At last, we tested the cycle life of composite phase change fibers, and studied their effect on temperature control in the constant temperature and heating environment.Based on the study of composite phase change fibers, in order to improve the sealing effect, utilization rate of PEG and cycle life of phase change fibers, we put forward using melt coaxial electrospinning technology to prepare core-shell phase change fibers. According to the material characteristics, we designed the melt coaxial electrospinning device. Then we studied the effect of distance between the inner and outer nozzle on electric field strength by electric field simulation based on COMSOL software. And we analyzed temperature drop of nozzle by heat transfer simulation based on ANSYS Workbench software. On the basis of simulation, we improved and machined the device.Based on melt coaxial electrospinning device, we explored the basic preparation process of core-shell phase change fibers. And we also studied the effect of spinning temperature, flow rate of core and shell layer, PEG ratio in core layer on structure and phase transition properties of core-shell phase change fibers. We characterized the cross section and surface of core-shell phase change fibers, and confirmed core-shell fibers with uniform structure can be got by melt coaxial electrospinning technology.
