| Semi-synthetic cutting fluid,which is a new type of metal working fluid that has been widely concerned in the process of metal cutting processing fluid and gradually replaces oil-based and emulsified cutting fluid used in recent year,is beneficial to prolong the lifetime of cutting tool,reduce parts wearn take away the heat generated by the cutting and improve the quality of processing.It shows outstanding performance in the lubrication.cooling,cleaning,anti-rust,biodegradability and so on.The aim of this paper is to develop a kind of environment-friendly semi-synthetic cutting fluid,In this paper,6502 types of alkyl alcohol amide were synthesized by using palm oil as main raw material,semi-synthetic cutting fluid was prepared by using basic mineral oil,self-made extreme pressure and anti-wear additive(Twelve acid diethanolamide boric acid ester),surfactant and organic corrosion inhibitor additive as raw materials which can form a stable system under a specific condition.Synthetic steps and experimental processes are also described here.The basic compatibility proportion of feeds is obtained by orthogonal experiment and single factor experiments.The lubricity,anti-rust,storage stability,surface tension and particle size dispersion was characterized during the experiments.Then,multiple properties of self-made semi-synthetic cutting fluid were compared with those of commercially available semi-synthetic cutting fluid at multiple detection indexes.With a number of experiments and continuously researches,a optimum reaction ratio of cutting fluid is determined as:mineral oil:self-made extreme pressure anti-wear agent:non-ionic surface active agent:cosurfactant=17:3:6:2.5.The result of single factor experiment shows that the content of type 6502 alkanol amide in semi-synthetic cutting fluid is 25%.According to the regulations of GB/T 6144-6144,properties of the cutting fluid were characterized.The results are as follows:(1)the storage stability is good and no stratification,precipitation and gel are observed;(2)the value of pH is 9.2;(3)the value of surface tension is 31.57 mN/m;(4)the friction coefficient is 0.071;(5)the results of anti-rust and corrosion test are A level;(6)the result of biological toxicity experiment reaches the criterion.Comparing with the properties of commercially available cutting liquid,self-made cutting liquid prepared by this approach is much better in the applications.High purity of type 6502 alkanol amide was obtained by two-step method including acylation reaction and ammonolysis reaction.Dodecanoate was prepared by interesterification reaction and reacted with diethanolamine to synthesize dodecanic acid diethanol amide.Then the as-synthesized dodecanic acid diethanol amide reacted with boric acid to prepare dodecanoic acid diethanol amide boric acid ester under certain conditions.A large amount of results show that both of them play a key role in semi-synthetic cutting fluid preparation.Therefore,self-made semi-synthetic cutting fluid which conforms to the requirements of the national standard,has a fine application prospect in the future. |
