With the development of science and technology and the improvement of the mechanization level of mining, mine heat harm is an increasingly serious problem in China. The whole cooling system has high energy consumption and high degree of cold loss, so its cooling effect is not good. And it is difficult to cool the local heat-harm workplace. Therefore, it is urgent to study a cooling technology which is suitable for the local heat-harm workplace in mines.Considering the local heat harm of mines, from the mechanism of heat damage formation and analysis of the main thermal and moister source, and using the theoretical computations, experiment and numeral simulation, the local cooling technology was studied in this paper.In this paper, through the analysis and comparison of the existing local cooling scheme, based on the previous local cooling technology, an automatic mobile cooling chamber is designed. And considering the shape, structure and material of the cooling chamber, a new type of air compression refrigeration device is designed. Proper coolers are chosen according to the local cooling requirement. Automatic control of the cooling chamber was realized by using infrared sensors, temperature sensors and solenoid valves. The temperature change regulation under different temperature and velocity was analyzed in the experiment. The results show good cooling effect that the temperature of cooling chamber reduced 5 ?6? on average. The temperature distribution of the cooling chamber was proved by simulation. And the simulation result basically meets the experiment result and shows that the cooling chamber has good cooling effect.PMV-PPD, the human thermal comfort index, was simulated and the result is good,which show that PMV ranged from -1 to 1, PPD was less than or equal to 15.Considering the advantages and disadvantages of the air-cooled cooling clothes and phase-change cooling clothes, a new type of cooling clothes system was designed. The design includes system design of compressed air supply point, design of air-cooled cooling clothes and freezer. Combining the air-cooled cooling clothes and phase-change cooling clothes into one can solve not only the small radius problem of the air-cooled cooling clothes but also the short duration of the phase-change cooling clothes. The study is a reference to the local heat-harm treatment in mines and is an alternative method of local heat-harm treatment in mines.
