The main raw material of pulp furniture is waste paper or plant fiber pulp,which is low in cost and wide in origin.It can show the new value of waste materials and turn waste into treasure.The use of renewable paper pulp furniture,furniture after model making,hand molding,drying,surface treatment process,make corresponding furniture products,its production process has no pollution to the environment,low energy consumption,recycling of waste resources,reduce the waste of resources.Modelling is full of change,not limited to the traditional plate and frame structure,according to the design to show a variety of curves,reflecting the advantages of materials.After fully studying the mechanics of structure,the designed pulp furniture has good bearing capacity,and it is more convenient for daily use after surface waterproof and fireproof treatment.The touch of the paper furniture is gentle and natural,and the touch is not cold in winter.It makes people more intimate and natural,and gives people a feeling of peace and quiet.Easy to surface decoration,can be designed according to different drawing patterns,easy coloring;the texture is light,compared to the plate and solid wood furniture,more easy to handle;after the design can be determined,making mould,mass production has unique advantage.In this paper,through the analysis of the raw materials of the pulp furniture,the production process,combined with their own works of graduation,to explore how to design and make pulp furniture.The pulp as a new material,applied to furniture design,and combined with the pulp material properties and design stage,can choose different processing methods,showing different texture in different ratio of raw materials in the.In the design of pulp furniture,the law of formal beauty should be taken into full consideration,and the characteristics of the pulp material should be taken into account in the structural design.According to the characteristics of low carbon environmental protection and cyclic regeneration of pulp materials,this paper puts forward the viewpoint that furniture design should select green materials,combine furniture design with environmental protection and take green design road.At the same time,it is proposed that modern furniture design should constantly develop new furniture materials,and combine new design with new materials to promote the overall development of furniture industry.
