With the rapid development of laser cutting industry,the production has put forward new requirements for sheet metal checking.Now,the detection of the sheet metal aperture cut by laser accomplished by the inspection tools,and most of them are finished by manual sampling inspection.The use of detections not only increases the production cost,waste time and manpower,but also reduces the reliability of the finished product rate,which affects the development of laser cutting industry.Based on a lot of international and our country's research status,according to the requirement of factories,this paper has carried out the research on the visual inspection system for the sheet metal parts cut by laser.Firstly,the algorithms of image processing are studied.And then build the platform for size detection,the image collected by industrial camera is send to computer through the image acquisition card for image processing and aperture detection with LabVIEW and IMAQ Vision.Finally,the test results are displayed in the detection interface to judge whether the workpiece is qualified.Through the experiments,the development of vision detection system based on LabVIEW not only achieves the purpose of detection,but also improves the detection efficiency and meets the actual production needs.
