As one of the largest nations,China is in great need of resources in manufacturing field.Machine tool is the main part which consumes tremendous energy,while the low efficiency causes large waste.Therefore,the optimized energy-saving design of the machine tool can significantly improve green manufacturing.Based on bond graph model,this paper focus on the energy consumption of machine tool to analyze the efficiency of different part and finally explores the mechanism of energy circuit.This paper first introduces the bond graph theory,the composing part and working principle of the used machine tool.The flow chart of energy is completed after analyzing the energy flow of machine tools.As an integrated system of different kinds of energy,numerical control machine cannot be dynamically analyzed by a unified model.This paper therefore analyzes the dynamical response and energy consumption of the machine tool on the basis of bond graph theory.Bond graph models of the components of the machine tool are built according to bond graph theory.After that,the models of the main drive system,the feed system,the hydraulic system,and then the whole machine tool are built.Machine tool CAK50315 is taken as the target example in this paper,and its parameters referred in model building is configured by theoretical analysis and experiments.On the basis of 20-Sim,simulations of the bond graph model of the machine tool are conducted to acquire the torque-speed curve under different rotate speeds of no-load operation.The energy consumption of the system’s no-load operation is obtained by the analysis of torque-speed curve and speed response of workbench under 50% and 100% swift feed.The output pressure of the hydraulic pump,the pressure response curve of rod and rodless cavity,and the speed response curve of tailstock is analyzed to get the power consumption of the hydraulic system.Experiments are conduct to test the energy consumption features of the machine tool,in which the energy consumption of different systems are obtained.The energy consumption in machining a stepped shaft is simulated under different load,and the results are compared with that of the experiments.The simulation models are then validated with error less than 15%.
