Study On The Impact Of Trimethyl Hydroquinone Hydrogenation Conditions On The Content Of Impurities | | Posted on:2016-05-29 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:C D Mao | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2321330536454408 | Subject:Chemical engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Vitamin E is essential in the human body.It is not only a medicinal antioxidant with which have the good practical value that can protect cells to reduce the damage of free radicals,but also has the effect of anti-aging and antitumor.Vitamin E can promote human body to secrete hormones and improve fertility,so vitamin E also known as called tocopherol.2,3,5-trimethyl hydroquinone(TMHQ)constitute the main ring of vitamin E,whose trade name is dominated the ring,and react with phytol to generate vitamin E after dehydration process.According to information which had reported,the content of impurities in TMHQ directly affects the content of vitamin E in products,which decides whether an enterprise can produce high-end pharmaceutical grade vitamin E or not.Therefore,combined with the mechanism,we validate the factors such as reaction temperature,catalyst types,different polar solvent and water content in the system on the influence of impurities generation in hydrogenation process.Through the study we found that the increase of reaction temperature,or decrease content of water when hydrogenation reaction will result in an increase of impurities generated in the hydrogenation process;conversely or using platinum/carbon catalyst,the impurities will reduce.In addition,this paper summarizes the above experimental results,we further study the effect of pH in hydrogenation system and find that adjust the pH value will reduce the content of impurities to below 0.1%. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Trimethyl hydroquinone, Vitamin E, Impurities, Mechanism, Factors | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
