In this paper, based on government GuSha ditch bifurcation of coal mine geological data,the empirical formula and numerical simulation method was used to study lead water fracture zones development regularities in the study area. The following results:(1) The use of "discipline" and "specification” proposed by empirical formula calculation in stope water fractured zone height has a larger difference, once all compete "specification"of fracture zone height is calculated "rules" of 2 times the left and right sides.(2) "Specification" calculation results and basic close to the results of numerical simulation, the rules of the calculation results and the results of numerical simulation is large.Empirical formula ("specifications") and the numerical simulation method in the mansion GuSha ditch bifurcation coal mine applies.(3) Government GuSha ditch bifurcation of coal mine water fractured zone height increases with the increase of thick coal seam mining, the crack surface mining, as the first mining of coal seam thickness increases, when the increases to a certain value and then and decreases as the thick coal seam mining. Mining of coal seam thickness is less than 4 m, thick coal seam mining and the crack ratio was positively related to relationship, 4 m crack surface mining maximum (26.5); Thick coal seam mining is more than 4 m, crack lower than a wave,thick coal seam mining 8m, split ratio has fallen to 18.6.(4) The house GuSha ditch bifurcation of coal mine water fractured zone height and decreases as the working face, split mining, and decreases with the working face.
