In this paper,we will synthesize hydrolyzed low surface energy acrylic silane ester resin from silicone modified acrylic resin and apply it to antifouling coating.In this paper,the influence of different process factors on the synthesis of silyl acrylate resin was studied,and the optimal synthesis conditions were determined.The results provide the data support for the late resin synthesis.The influences of initiator content,monomer content of silyl acrylate,fluorine content,side chain methyl group and resin glass transition temperature on the properties of acrylic silane ester resin and the performance of antifouling coatings were discussed.And provide the data base for the further development of antifouling paints.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The influence of synthesis reaction temperature,initiator content and monomer drop time on the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the silyl acrylate resin and the exotherm of the reaction were studied.The optimum conditions were as follows: The optimum reaction temperature is 90 ?,the initiator content is 1.5%,and the time of monomer addition is 3h.(2)Through the study on the properties of silyl acrylate resin,the hydrolytic properties of the resin were affected by different variables as follows: The water absorption rate and the hydrolysis rate of the resin increase with the increase of the initiator content and decrease with the increase of the fluorine content and the introduction of the methyl group.With the increase of the content of the acrylic silane monomer,the water absorption rate of the resin becomes smaller,but the hydrolysis rate becomes larger.The water absorption rate of the resin decreased with the increase of the glass transition temperature,and the hydrolysis rate did not show obvious rule.The contact angle of ultrapure water on the resin surface is obviously larger than that of the previous zinc acrylate resin,and it shows a certain regularity with the change of the variable.(3)Through the research on the properties of the antifouling coatings prepared by using the synthetic acrylic silane ester resin as the film-forming material,the adhesion performance of the antifouling coating is relatively unsatisfactory,the maximum adhesion is only 1.25 MPa.;The coating samples showed no cracking,bubbling and dropping with the prolongation of artificial seawater immersion time;Copper ion leakage rate basically meet the basic requirements of self-polishing antifouling paint,and the impact of different variables significantly;Shallow-sea hanging board results show that anti-fouling effect is basically good,need to continue to visit.
