Deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform is an important equipment in the exploitation of deep-sea oil and gas fields,and deepwater rig system layout design is an important part of drilling platform design,it has a direct impact on the platform performance.Traditional drilling platform layout rely on designer's experience,it is inefficient and needs amount of work.Based on deepwater rig system's components and working process,this paper will take intelligent algorithms to optimize the layout of rig system.Based on analyzing the characteristics of single and dual derrick rig system layout problem and the working process,the rig system is divided into several modules.The modules are simplified as two-dimensional rectangular of which the mass are uniformly distributed.Establishing the objectives which contain the perimeter of the deck,the offset of center of mass and form,and pipes transportation distance.The layout has constraint conditions such as there is no interference between the equipment.To satisfy the requirement of engineering practice,the mathematical model is further optimized by pipes transportation distance and the constraint of interference.Rig system layout is a multi-objective and multi-constraint layout problem,this paper gives two methods to solve it,the methods are single and multi-objective particle swarm optimization.To improve the performance of particle swarm optimization(PSO),improved particle swarm algorithms are put forward through introducing the different interference constraint processing,the improvement of inertia weight and using the selection and crossover operators.Designing the layout simulation experiments,the results of experiments show that the particle swarm algorithm with dynamic inertia weight and crossover operator is more applicable to solve layout problem.The multi-objective algorithm is based on dominance and non-inferior solution set.The non-inferior solution set is trimmed by crowding distance,and the option of individual best particle is based on dominance and interference constraint.For the solution is more practical and efficient,the initial population of multi-objective algorithm can be replaced by the population of single-objective algorithm which has run a certain number of iterations.Take the improved algorithm as kernel,the drilling rig system layout software is exploited.It can make design calculation,equipment selection,layout design and the equipment list by establishing the database and CAD model library of equipment.Take the target rig system as an example,use the layout software to get the parameters and solve the layout problem of upper deck rig system.
