| The abrasive belt grinding technology is an important processing technology in the manufacturing industry.With the continuous development of abrasive belt grinding technology,it has been greatly improved both in the processing efficiency and grinding quality.The scope of abrasive belt grinding also involves all walks of life.Industry 4.0 opened the prelude to the combination of machinery manufacturing and automation technology.The combination of abrasive belt grinding and automated product is the inevitable trend of the future development.As the focus of the study of scholars has been to the processing technology tilt over the years,resulting in abrasive belt grinding technology is relatively weak,and the monitoring technology is an essential piece of abrasive belt grinding to achieve automated production.Based on the abrasive belt grinding experiment,this paper explores a new method to monitor the grinding performance of abrasive belt with the surface image of the belt.The abrasive belt grinding platform and the abrasive belt grinding process monitoring system were built and the related experiments were carried out.The variation of the grinding force and the surface image of the belt during the grinding process is analyzed.The surface image of the belt was processed by MATLAB,and the surface image characteristics of the belt were identified.According to the change law of grinding force,the purpose of monitoring abrasive belt grinding performance with abrasive belt surface image was realized.The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:1.According to the experimental requirements to build a belt grinding platform and abrasive belt grinding process monitoring system.The abrasive belt grinding platform provides stable processing conditions for abrasive belt grinding experiments,and the abrasive belt grinding process monitoring system is used to record and monitor the grinding forces and belt surface images during abrasive grinding.2.Grinding experiments were carried out on a self-contained abrasive belt grinding platform to record the grinding force and the surface image of the different types of abrasive belt during grinding.3.The variation law of grinding force and the surface image of the belt were analyzed.Using MATLAB to deal with the surface image of the abrasive belt,and writing a program to identify the composition of the abrasive belt surface image of the different grinding stages.The change rule of the grinding force is compared with the change of the surface image of the abrasive belt to monitor the grinding performance of the abrasive belt. |
