The Development Of The Oil Drill Pipe Thickening Segment Parameter Measuring Device

Drill pipe used in complex environment,and will produce the defects such as corrosion,crack and abrasion.These cause serious accident,so it is meaningful to research on improving the quality of drill pipe.More researches about the qualities of the drill pipe are essential for the safety of drilling platform.The shape of oil drill thickened segment is an important factor for oil drill quality.The current situations in thickened segment measurements of oil drill pipe are: inadequate testing means,too simple methods,low accuracy and low efficiency.In this paper we present a new portable,high-precision and highly reliable device.The specified bus bar was tested by measuring deck of this device,and we can get a series of original data of the contour points with tilt sensor inside measuring deck and rope displacement sensor,then converted to the X-Y coordinates with the corresponding formulas.We can draw the inner contour of the DUT with the X-Y coordinates.Processing the measured data based on ideal contour model,and the evaluation results can be given.This device in the system mainly contains the PC software,hardware circuit and mechanical structure parts,through the PC software send instructions to the lower machine of the hardware circuit part,and then control mechanical structural movements.After that,the data collection of angle and displacement finish,and these data packaged in the low machine uploaded to PC.PC calculate these data and save it,and obtain the relevant calculation parameters,fitting the inside contour curve,and the final evaluation result is given.Through some experiments for four groups experimental samples,the measured results compare with the standard values in higher precision instrument,and it meets the original demands.After measured the physical artifacts,the measured results show that the device has good measuring precision and high measuring efficiency,reliable results,good repeatability.
