With the development and maturing of modern net work,manufacturing also develops towards intelligentize and network.In this paper,focusing on the lack of intelligent integration of the remote monitoring and control technology the numerical control machines which apply for production processing of wheel and axle of rail traffic,a new remote monitoring and control system was designed based on OPC UA.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on literatures at home and abroad on the NC machine tools remote monitoring technology,according to the specific characteristics of SIEMENS 828 D CNC machine tools,mainly for the processing characteristic of wheelset and axle and the data acquisition requirements in the machine processing,two kinds of current mainstream data acquisition schemes were analyzed,and the acquisition scheme based on OPC UA communication protocol was confirmed.The remote monitoring function was analyzed,and the remote access scheme based on Win CC Web Navigator software was selected.The overall scheme of the system was presented based on the acquisition scheme and remote access scheme.(2)According to the functional requirements of the users,the structure and the function of the software of the remote monitoring system was designed.This paper introduced the communication mode of OPC UA communication protocol and SIEMENS 828 D numerical control machine tool,and expounded the realization of the local and remote communication in detail.(3)The database of the whole remote monitoring system was created,and VB software was used to create the link between Win CC and SQL server 2008 to realize the data transmission and storage function.HMI of IPC was designed and developed by function modularization.(4)According to the user's authority,the overall function of the website was planned,and the realization method of the remote access function of the system was given by using the function of Win CC Web Navigator.By using the test environment of the remote monitoring system,this paper described the testing process of the whole remote monitoring system.Finally,the feedback results were analyzed and the function of the whole system HMI was improved.The system used advanced OPC UA technology to solve the communication problem between the bottom equipment and the management layer.The centralizedmanagement and real-time monitoring of CNC machine tools was realized and the system did not need to add additional data acquisition hardware,reducing the workload of the field operation and maintenance personnel.In summary,it is easy to prevent accidents and achieve predictive maintenance.
