Anammox as the new biological nitrogen removal process with the high efficiency and cost effectiveness.It has the advantage of high nitrogen removal rate,no oxygen consumption,no needing of carbon recourse,low energy consumption,less sludge production and no second pollution when compared with traditional biological denitrifycation process.It has attracted the attention of scholars,especially in high ammonium wastewater with low organic carbon has great development prospect.However the slow growth of the functional bacteria-anammox bacteria severly restricted the full-scale application of Anammox process.Using the municipal sludge and the operation way of low substrate with high flow.This study investigated the performance of packed bed reactor with suspended carrier and the change of microbial community structure characteristics when it rapid enrichment anammox bacteria.Influence factors of reaction rate and kinetics characteristics of anammox granule sludge have been discussed too.The main results are as follows:?1?The packed bed reactor with suspended carrier was successfully set up.After nearly 100 days operation,a high NLR of 3.15 kgN.m-3.d-1 was got with relative NRR of 2.68 kgN.m-3.d-1 by the way of increasing substrate and decreasing HRT.The total nitrogen removal rate and nitrite removal rate were kept above 80% and 90%.The dominant granular sludge size range of 0.30mm-4.04 mm,average setting velocity reached 94.32m/h.The system had high performances of nitrogen removal and loading tolerance.The anammox bacteria can be successfully enriched and cultured,the reactor can be start up quickly too.?2?The microbial community abundance and diversity of the main eight kinds of bacteria in inoculation sludge were reduced during the operation.O nly the planctomycetia and Proteobacteria are the main types of bacteria which accounted for 92.29% in the late operation.The predominant Anammox bacteria were Candidatus K uenenia and Candidatus Anammoxoglobu which belong to Planctomycetes,the abundance value of them reached 66.57%.The Candidatus Kuenenia was the main predominant anammox bacteria in the system which accounted for 63.31%.?3?Using the batch experiment to study the influence factors of anammox activity When the concentration of the ammonium from41.05mg/L rising to 587.75 mg/L,both of them trend to positively correlated.However,the activity increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of nitrite concentration.The maximum activity reached 0.160 mg NH4+-N.mgVSS-1.d-1 when the nitrite nitrogen was 145.51mg/L.The optimum temperature was 35? and p H was 8.0-8.5 of the anammox bacteria in the system.?4?Using the batch experiment to study the kinetics characteristics of anammox reaction,the half-saturation constant value?the maximum reaction rate and the inhibition constant value of ammonium were 38.06mg/L?0.133mgNH4+-N.mgVSS-1.d-1?4.058E28 mg/L;Then the half-saturation constant value?the inhibition constant value and the maximum reaction rate of nitrite were 263.25 mg/L?227.88 mg/L and 0.445mgNH4+-Nmg VSS-1.d-1,the system has the huge potential of Anammox.
