| As the important element in the production of aluminum,anode is directly related to the quality of anode consumption,current efficiency,production stability and purity of metal aluminum.The mixing is the key to obtain uniform and optimum performance of the anode paste.The correct mix project design can produce excellent anode to reduce the difference of the anode performance and improve the service life of the electrolytic cell.In this paper,the anode was produced by the same batch of materials in laboratory.In this paper,the influence of different mixing temperatures(150.160.170.180℃)and mixing time(10min,20min.30min and 40min)on the properties(open porosity,permeability,conductive,density of green anode,density.compressive strength and air/CO,reactivity)of carbon anode for aluminum were studied.It were studied the variation of mass loss,volatile content,coke value and viscosity of pith in the different mixing times and mixing temperatures.The changes of granularity of cokes in different mixing times were studied.The results is showed as follow。(1)When mixing temperature was lower than 170℃,as the mixing temperature increased,the open porosity and permeability of anode decreased and the properties(conductive.density of green anode.density,compressive strength and air/CO2 reactivity)of carbon anode were improved.When mixing temperature was higher than 170℃,as the mixing temperature improved.the open porosity and permeability of anode increased and the properties(conductive,density of green anode,density,compressive strength and air/CO,reactivity)of carbon anode were weakened.(2)When mixing time was less than 30min,as the mixing time increased,the open porosity and permeability of anode decreased and the properties(conductive.density of green anode,density.compressive strength and air/CO2 reactivity)of carbon anode were improved.When mixing time exceeded 30min,as the mixing time increased,the open porosity and permeability of anode increased and the properties(conductive,density of green anode,density,compressive strength and air/CO2 reactivity)of carbon anode were weakened.(3)As the mixing temperature and time increased,the volatile content of pith reduced and the mass loss.coke value and viscosity of pith increased.The rates of increase of the mass loss.coke value and viscosity and decrease of volatile increased as the mixing temperature increasing and the mixing time decreasing;(4)As the mixing time increased,the percents of cokes in-/mm+5mm and-5mm+2mm decreased,and the percents of cokes in-2mm+0.5mm and-0.5mm+0mm increased. |
