High-temperature leveling agent mostly contains alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether(APEO).However,APEO has been gradually banned and limited due to its harmful effects on the environment.At present,fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether replaced APEO,but its high-temperature leveling is lower than APEO.The raw material of cardanol polyoxyethylene ether is extracted and refined from natural cashew nut shell liquid and belongs to the biological multi-phenol composition.Some researchers show that cardanol polyoxyethylene ether is an ideal alternative to APEO because of the similar structure.The application of different ethylene oxide addition number of cardanol polyoxyethylene ether,synthesis two types of anionic structure: cardanol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate sodium and cardanol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate sodium,tested its basic properties and its application as a high temperature leveling agent and compared with the existing high temperature leveling agents H-730 A and TF-216 B.The specific research contents and conclusions are as follows:Part I:Synthesis and properties of cardanol polyoxyethylene sulfate sodium.the cardanol polyoxyethylene ether(CXF-n)and sulfamic acid as raw materials has synthesized cardanol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate sodium(CXFS-n,n = 3,6,10,14,18,22).The change of ethylene oxide addition number n effects the basic properties of CXFS-n(surface tension,wettability,emulsifiability,foaming and lime soap dispersion).FT-IR and TLC confirmed the target product.The yield was over 92% by determination of anion content.The results showed: with ethylene oxide addition increased the number of n,the surface tension of CXFS-n increased and gradually stabilized;Wettability decreased and gradually stabilized,the wetting time of CXFS-3 is 37 seconds;Emulsification increased first and then decreased,emulsifying performance is CXFS-14 > CXFS-18 > CXFS-10 > CXFS-16 >CXFS-22>CXFS-3,emulsion the time of CXFS-14 was 16.5minute,emulsifying is best;Foaming increa sed first and then decreased,the foaming property size was CXFS-10>CXFS-14>CXFS-6>CXFS-18>CXFS-3>CXFS-22;Calcium soap dispersion increased gradually,CXFS-14,18,22 calcium soap dispersion index were less than 25%,dispersion of calcium soap is excellent.It can be concluded that CXFS-14 and CXFS-18 have good emulsifying property and calcium soap dispersing ability.Comparison of the application performance between CXFS-n(n = 3,6,10,14,18,22)indicates that the effect of CXFS-14 and CXFS-18 on the disperse blue HGL(azo dyes)and disperse blue 2BLN(anthraquinone dye)have good migration,inhibition and mitigation,consistent with the basic performance studies.The dispersibility of CXFS-14 and CXFS-18 to disperse blue HGL is better than 2BLN,the CXFS-14 on the azo and anthraquinone dye effect is more than that of CXF S-18.Compared with the commercially available high temperature leveling agent H-730 A and TF-216 B,the application effect is H-730A> CXFS-18> CXFS-14> TF-216 B.Part II: Synthesis and properties of cardanol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate sodium.the cardanol polyoxyethylene ether(CXF-n)and phosphorus pentoxide as raw materials has synthesized cardanol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate sodium(CXFP-n,n = 3,6,10,14,where n = 18,22 can not be synthesized).The change of ethylene oxide addition number n effects the basic properties of CXFP-n(surface tension,wettability,emulsifiability,foaming and lime soap dispersion).FT-IR and TLC confirmed the target product.The content of monoester was above 65% and the diester was about 18%.The results showed: with ethylene oxide addition increased the number of n,the surface tension of CXFP-n increased first and then decreased;Wettability increased first and then decreased,the wettability was CXFP-10>CXFP-6>CXFP-14>CXFP-3,the CXFP-10 wetting time was 45 seconds;Emulsification increased first and then decreased,emulsifying performance is CXFP-10>CXFP-14>CXFP-6>CXFP-3,CXFP-10 is 13.4minute,emulsifying is best;Foaming property was stable,CXFP-14 was easier to foam and the foaming height was 45 millimeter;Calcium soap dispersion increased gradually,CXFP-10,14 calcium soap dispersion index were less than 35%,dispersion of calcium soap is excellent.It can be concluded that CXFP-10 and CXFP-14 have good emulsifying property and calcium soap dispersing ability.Comparison of the application performance between CXFP-n(n = 3,6,10,14)showed that the effect of CXFP-10 and CXFP-14 on the disperse blue HGL(azo dyes)and disperse blue 2BLN(anthraquinone dye)have good migration,mitigation,and high temperature dispersion,consistent with the basic performance studies.The dispersibility of CXFP-10 and CXFP-14 to disperse blue HGL is temperature leveling agent:H-730A>CXFS-18>CXFS-14>TF-216B> CXFP-10> CXFP-14.The research shows that cardanol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate sodium's high temperature leveling performance is better than cardanol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate sodium in high temperature leveling performance.
